We hope this site gives you a glimpse of who we are.

We love Christ. He is our passion. Our vision is to spread a life-changing passion for Christ. We believe that the joy of knowing God personally and living in step with His loving leadership is the purpose for which all people are created. Our desire is to spread the joy and grace and forgiveness and freedom and love and meaning and purpose that we've found with others in Grand Island and beyond.

Berean Bible Church seeks to partner with God in accomplishing His vision for the church by empowering people to:

Look to Christ
When we do not look to Christ, we look to other things to try to satisfy our need for purpose, meaning, identity and security. The Bible shows us that those things leave us empty and put us at odds with God. The truth is, we have all been rebels who reject God which exposes us to eternal judgment as a result of God giving us over to the desire to be our own god and satisfy our own desires. The good news is that God has made one way of escape. There is a deep and desperate need for each person to decide to look to Jesus Christ and trust Him with their life and future. When we do, God applies the payment for sin that Jesus made on the cross to us. We are forgiven and begin a new relationship with God through Christ. We become a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Live for Christ
We want to help people grow in their relationship with Christ. Living for Christ means learning to obey him and making a conversational relationship with Him central to our life. We believe the Bible is the authoritative Word of God and that studying it, understanding it and applying it enables us to hear our Master's voice and experience the joy of following him. As we listen to Christ, we grow to be more like the person we most admire and treasure. We get better at deeply loving God. We get better at loving and serving people from our heart. Our habits change. We are not perfect but our life is sincerely aimed at pleasing God.

Lead others to Christ
Jesus told his first disciples to go and make other disciples. It is our joy and responsibility to help other people in our community to enter into a discipleship relationship with Jesus where they, too, look to him, live for him and lead others to him. We are committed to share with others the difference Jesus has made in our lives and tell the story of God's incredible offer of life with him through faith in Jesus.
